Atletico Madrid left-back Reinildo Mandava is reportedly open to a summer transfer window move to Crystal Palace.

According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Reinildo’s future is uncertain this summer, as he’ll soon be out of contract.

However, it’s reported that the 31-year-old defender agreed to sign a new short-term contract to extend his stay at the club so he can compete for them in the Club World Cup.

After that, though, it could be that Mandava will be moving on, with Palace named as a potential destination for him.

Mandava has shone during his time in La Liga, and it would be intriguing to see how he could fare in the Premier League.

The Mozambique international is surely good enough to make an impact for Palace, who could also be seen as a tempting destination for him at the moment.

The Eagles have made great strides under current manager Oliver Glasner, winning the FA Cup final in the season just gone.

Mandava would surely relish being a part of this squad, even if Palace aren’t quite as big a name in European football as Atletico Madrid.

The report adds, however, that although Mandava is open to the move to Selhurst Park, he also has other offers.

The former Lille man has also attracted suitors from Italy, France and Turkey, as well as some other unnamed clubs from England.

Palace will surely hope they can win the race for his signature, though, as they’ll probably need to replace Ben Chilwell at left-back, as he’s only at the club on loan from Chelsea.
