Manchester United will reportedly have a meeting with Real Betis next week to discuss the future of Brazilian winger Antony.
The 25-year-old struggled to find his best form at Man Utd following a big-money move from Ajax in the summer of 2022, but he’s got back to his best on loan at Betis in the second half of this season.
Antony finished the 2024/25 campaign with ten goals and two assists in total, with all but one of those coming in the last few months with Betis.
According to Marca, the Premier League and La Liga clubs will now meet to discuss what to do next with Antony.

Marca’s report states that Betis would ideally like to extend Antony’s loan for another season, but this seems far from ideal for United.
The report suggests the Red Devils would rather try to cash in on the former Ajax man, and make back as much as possible of the huge money they spent on signing him in the first place.
It will be interesting to see who blinks first in these negotiations, or if there could even be other potential scenarios that come into play.
Should Man United consider giving Antony another chance?
Could it even be that MUFC consider the unthinkable – giving Antony another chance to prove himself at Old Trafford?
Clearly, Ruben Amorim would need to see a big improvement from Antony if he were to start including him in his team again, but it looks like this spell at Betis has really helped him.
The Brazil international was a fantastic performer during his time at Ajax, and he seems to have regained his confidence during his time in Spain.
