Manchester United and Chelsea are among the numerous clubs showing an interest in the potential transfer of Roma goalkeeper Mile Svilar.
The Serbia international’s contract talks with Roma have broken down, and CaughtOffside understands this has put several top teams on alert.
Man United are in the market for a new goalkeeper this summer, and Svilar is one of the names they admire, while Chelsea have also considered him.
The Blues are currently focusing on AC Milan’s Mike Maignan, however, so that could give United and others the edge in the race for Svilar.
Sources have informed CaughtOffside that Manchester City, Newcastle, Bayern Munich and Monaco have also been monitoring Svilar in recent times.

What next for Roma goalkeeper Mile Svilar?
Sources close to the situation have told CaughtOffside that Roma have been unable to meet Svilar’s contract expectations.
The 25-year-old is seeking a deal worth around €3.5m a year, but the Serie A giants have come up some way short of that, as they won’t go above €1.6m a year.
This could now lead Svilar to leave the Stadio Olimpico, with €35m likely to be enough to get a deal done, sources have revealed.

Is Mile Svilar the goalkeeper Man United need?
Svilar looks a solid option for United in goal, and it would be hard to do much worse than Andre Onana at Old Trafford.
Still, some Red Devils fans might be hoping their club can aim a little higher and bring in someone with the potential to be the next David de Gea or Edwin van der Sar.
MUFC have a history of great goalkeepers, and it remains to be seen if Svilar really has it in him to establish himself as one of the very best in the world in the coming years.
