Liverpool defender Kostas Tsimikas could leave the club this summer

The summer transfer business at Liverpool is in full flow at the moment with manager Arne Slot making some big moves.

The Premier League champions have already secured the signing of three promising players.

Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez have all been unveiled as the new signings at Anfield this summer.

However, there is also movement on players leaving the club or getting closer to an exit.

Reds are getting ready to several departures

Darwin Nunez has been linked with a move to Napoli and it appears like his time in the Premier League is coming to an end.

Jarell Quansah is edging closer to a move to Bayer Leverkusen while players like Federico Chiesa and Harvey Elliott are also facing an uncertain future.

Another player who could most likely leave the club this summer is left-back Kostas Tsimikas.

Having already signed Kerkez this summer and due to the presence of Andy Robertson, the Greek full-back has fallen further down the pecking order and it could be time for him to part ways with the Merseyside club.

Commentator Ian Darke feels Tsimikas is set to leave the Reds this summer and he would be a useful signing for one of the promoted teams.

He told Liverpool News:

“I’m not sure what the inside track is within the club, but you would think that with Milos Kerkez’s signing from Bournemouth, it will be him and Robertson competing for the position.

“So, yes, it does look like he would become surplus to requirements, and of course, clubs do have to sort of balance the books and there has been a throughput of players.

“I think while he hasn’t been a sensational signing for Liverpool, he has proved to be quite a useful one to rotate Robertson, here and there.

“I think he is the kind of players who would be a good signing for one of the promoted clubs.”
