Arsenal place Eberechi Eze high among options to strengthen attack

Arsenal have identified Eberechi Eze as a serious candidate to bolster their attacking options this summer, with the Crystal Palace star now high on the Gunners’ shortlist as they look to strengthen ahead of another Premier League title push and Champions League campaign.

Eze has emerged as one of the most exciting attacking midfielders in the Premier League, delivering consistent performances for Crystal Palace.

The England international helped the Premier League side win the FA Cup this year, Palace’s first ever major trophy.

He is a player who can play in wide attacking positions as well as in central positions.

Arsenal make Eberechi Eze concrete transfer target

According to David Ornstein, the Gunners have placed the Palace star high on their transfer targets this summer.

Arsenal are yet to make contact with Crystal Palace regarding a potential transfer, as per Ornstein. Eze is viewed as a serious option, separate from the Gunners’ pursuit of a new striker and winger this summer.

Eze’s release clause at Crystal Palace reportedly sits around £68 million, but Arsenal would look to negotiate a fee below that figure if they decide to formalise their interest in the England international.

With Palace keen to retain their star player, any negotiations are expected to be complex, particularly given Eze’s importance to Oliver Glasner’s project at Selhurst Park.
