Man United face intense competition to sign Inter Milan’s Yann Bisseck

Manchester United are monitoring Inter Milan defender Yann Bisseck ahead of a potential summer move, joining a host of Premier League clubs weighing up a deal for the highly-rated centre-back, according to La Repubblica.

The 24-year-old German defender is emerging as a sought-after target after a promising campaign with Inter.

With Inter Milan heading into a summer of significant transition following the departure of head coach Simone Inzaghi, Bisseck’s situation is being closely monitored across Europe.

Problems at Inter Milan could favour Man United

Inter are bracing for changes within the squad, with experienced midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu expected to leave after a reported fallout with captain Lautaro Martinez. This restructuring could see other players, including Bisseck, become available for the right price.

La Repubblica reports that “half of the Premier League” is currently keeping tabs on Bisseck, with United joined by Tottenham Hotspur, Everton, and West Ham United among those interested.

While none of these clubs have formalised their interest with an official bid, discussions within recruitment teams are ongoing as clubs assess their defensive targets.

United are actively looking to strengthen at centre-back. Due to question marks over the form of Harry Maguire, fitness issues of Lisandro Martinez and the departure of Jonny Evans, the Reds Devils are looking for a reliable option in the central defensive position.
