Liverpool may have cruised to the Premier League title last season, Arne Slot and sporting director Richard Hughes are showing no signs of slowing down in the transfer market as they prepare to defend their crown and push deeper into Europe next season.
According to Fichajes, Liverpool are preparing an ambitious move to sign Barcelona duo Fermin Lopez and Andreas Christensen, signaling their intent to continue evolving the squad despite last season’s success.
The report claims Liverpool are ready to table a €100 million double offer to the La Liga giants, with €80 million allocated for Lopez and an additional €20 million for Christensen.

Liverpool have already been active this summer, adding Florian Wirtz, Milos Kerkez, Jeremie Frimpong, Armin Pecsi, Freddie Woodman and Giorgi Mamardashvili to strengthen the squad, but the potential arrival of Lopez and Christensen would represent a significant statement of intent from the reigning champions.
Fichajes reports that Liverpool have not hesitated in launching an ‘ambitious move’ to win over the Barcelona board, indicating their determination to strengthen further ahead of the new season.
Fermin is a young midfielder who has caught the attention of Slot. He is reportedly keen on the young Spaniard’s versatility and technical quality, seeing him as a player who can add further creativity and control in midfield alongside the likes of Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai.
Meanwhile, Christensen is a centre-back who has experience in the Premier League with Chelsea. After losing Jarell Quansah this summer, the Reds are looking for more depth in their central defensive position.
