Manchester United send scouts to watch Richard Rios in action

Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing the Colombian International midfielder Richard Rios from Palmeiras. 

The 25-year-old midfielder has impressed during the FIFA Club World Cup this summer, and Manchester United have sent scouts to watch him in action, according to Palmeiras Online.

It will be interesting to see if they follow up on their interest with an official proposal now. They could use more quality and depth in the middle of the park, and the South American would be a quality addition.

Rios is on the radar of other Premier League clubs as well.

Rios would be a quality addition

Rios has proven himself to be a useful player for club and country, and he has the physicality and technical attributes to do well in the Premier League as well. The opportunity to move to England can be quite exciting for most players, and it remains to be seen whether the 25-year-old is tempted to move to Old Trafford. 

Manchester United are among the biggest clubs in the world, and the opportunity to join them can be hard to turn down. Football director Jason Wilcox and head of recruitment Christopher Vivell have sent representatives to watch the midfielder in action during the FIFA Club World Cup.

Rios is entering the peak years of his career, and this could be the right time for him to take up a new challenge. He will add physicality, defensive cover, and drive in the middle of the park. Manchester United are in desperate need of a player with his skill set. Rios would be an asset for the English club. 

Manchester United certainly have the resources to convince Palmeiras. They will need to convince the player of their project as well. It will be interesting to see how the situation unfolds. Rios was valued at €100 million a few months ago.
