Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on the situation surrounding Chelsea defender Renato Veiga, who is attracting plenty of interest.
It looks like the talented young Portugal international is highly likely to leave Stamford Bridge this summer, despite only joining a year ago.
Veiga did not get off to the best start at Chelsea with some disagreements over his best playing position, and he ended up joining Juventus on loan in January.
It now seems the €40m-rated 21-year-old is attracting interest from big clubs such as Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid this summer, according to Romano in his latest post on X…

Romano posted: “Renato Veiga, still expected to leave Chelsea this summer with permanent move anticipated since June. Atlético Madrid, Bayern and Premier League clubs all in the race to sign Veiga. Understand Chelsea want package over €40m for Veiga, while talks with clubs continue.”
Should Chelsea really be selling Renato Veiga?
Chelsea fans will likely have mixed feelings about the potential departure of Veiga, who looks like a player who remains very highly regarded around Europe.
Capable of playing both centre-back and left-back, there’s surely room for Veiga in this CFC squad, but it seems it’s over for him in west London.
