Visitor Information
(as of 24 July 2025, 18.00 Hrs. GMT+7)
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) advises travellers that, due to recent cross-border security incidents along the Thailand–Cambodia border—particularly in Ubon Ratchathani, Si Sa Ket, and Surin—the Royal Thai Army has temporarily closed several border checkpoints and nearby tourist areas to ensure public safety and national security.
Affected Areas Include:
All border crossing points within the affected provinces
Tourist attractions and national parks in immediate border zones
Surrounding communities and lookout points commonly visited by tourists
The restrictions apply to:
Entry or exit via all checkpoints in restricted areas
Travel on roads and routes adjacent to the border
Visits to viewpoints and observation areas near the frontier
These measures are in place to prevent harm, maintain public order, and safeguard both visitors and local residents. Authorities are monitoring the situation closely and will provide updates as conditions change.
