Alexander Isak waiting for Liverpool transfer bid to Newcastle

Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak is reportedly waiting for Liverpool to make what is expected to be a club-record transfer bid for him this summer.

The Sweden international seems to have made up his mind that he wants to move to Anfield, with Fabrizio Romano reporting that this decision was already made some time ago.

Posting about the latest on the Isak to Liverpool transfer saga, Romano made it clear that the player is only keen on linking up with Arne Slot’s side, despite some links with Saudi Pro League giants Al Hilal emerging as well.

Can anyone stop Liverpool if they sign Alexander Isak?

Isak is undoubtedly up there with the best strikers in Europe right now, having enjoyed a superb spell at St James’ Park.

The 25-year-old has a total of 62 goals in 109 games for Newcastle, including one in last season’s Carabao Cup final victory over Liverpool.

Isak’s goals also helped fire the Magpies into the Champions League, but it seems he’s now keen to leave for an even bigger challenge.

LFC certainly looks a good fit for Isak right now, and one imagines that this combination would make the Merseyside giants close to unstoppable next season.
