RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko reportedly looks to have made a decision on his next transfer destination.
Despite also having interest from Manchester United, it seems Sesko is now expected to join Newcastle, according to Slovenian outlet Delo.
The 22-year-old has shone during his time in the Bundesliga and looks like he has a big future in the game, with a move to the Premier League now expected to go through this summer.
Delo claim Newcastle are now ahead of Man Utd in the race for Sesko’s signature, though a deal could end up costing as much as €80m.
In truth, the Red Devils might well look at that and wonder if they dodged a bullet there, as that surely looks too expensive even for an exciting young forward.

Benjamin Sesko set for Newcastle United transfer
Sesko looks an exciting signing for NUFC, who could do with more depth up front, especially amid some uncertainty over Alexander Isak’s future.
Isak has been the subject of a bid from Liverpool, though BBC Sport report that the Reds might not come back in for him as he looks too expensive.
It will be interesting to see, however, if LFC have more of a chance of signing Isak if Newcastle are able to bring in Sesko to bolster their attack.
What next for Man United as they miss out on Sesko?
United have signed Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo so far this summer, but they’re still lacking an out-and-out centre-forward.
Sesko could have been a good option, but they’ll now have to look elsewhere.
