Liverpool have no interest in Man United target Carlos Baleba

Liverpool have strengthen the attacking and defensive side of their squad this summer.

Arne Slot and his recruitment team have successfully managed to oversee one of the most successful transfer windows at Anfield.

So far, they have completed the signings of Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez and Hugo Ekitike.

With an already strong squad, they have added more depth and quality to the team.

The likes of Ryan Gravenberch, Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai have made the midfield positions their own and that is why Slot and his management have not felt the need to sign a new player in that position.

Liverpool are not interested in a move for Carlos Baleba

There have been noises about Liverpool showing interest in Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba, who is also highly placed on the radar at Manchester United.

However, update from journalist Graeme Bailey has made it clear that the Premier League champions are not looking to sign the midfielder this summer.

“Throughout the summer Liverpool have had no plans to bring in a new CDM – they have one of the best already in Ryan Gravenberch,” says Bailey, to Rousing The Kop.

“Liverpool, like Man United, love Baleba but that is true of every major European club. They liked him before he joined Brighton and have followed him closely.”

“Some suggest Brighton have opened the door – they haven’t,” adds the reporter.

“But, as we know, every player has his price. If someone is willing to pay over £100m for him this summer then they have a chance, but Brighton have little intention of letting him go.

“Come 2026, this is going to be a very different conversation. But, as it stands, we know Liverpool are planning on spending over £100m on another player. It won’t be for a CDM.”
