Yoane Wissa’s future at Brentford appears to be entering its final chapter, with multiple clubs across Europe, the Premier League, and Saudi Arabia circling for his signature.
The 28-year-old DR Congo international recently rejoined first-team training after a brief absence, having resolved internal matters with the coaching staff.
However, his stance on leaving the Bees has not shifted, and all indications point to a transfer materialising before the window closes, sources close to the agent industry have informed CaughtOffside.
Wissa’s return to training marks his first involvement with the squad since abruptly departing the club’s pre-season camp in Portugal on July 21.
Brentford decide price tag for striker Yoane Wissa
Despite his reintegration, Brentford are preparing for life without him, having placed a valuation of around £50 million on the attacker, who scored 20 goals for them last season.
This figure has so far proved a sticking point for some suitors, but interest remains strong.
Within the Premier League, Newcastle United, Tottenham and Liverpool have all shown interest in signing the attacker this summer.
Newcastle United have emerged as the most serious contenders. The Magpies have already seen an opening bid turned down but are continuing discussions, with Wissa’s representatives actively engaged in talks.
The player is enthusiastic about a switch to St. James’ Park, where Eddie Howe is eager to add more attacking firepower. Tottenham Hotspur are also in the mix, although their progress has been slower due to reluctance to meet Brentford’s full asking price.
