Chelsea and their players have reportedly decided to make a big donation to the family of late Liverpool forward Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva.
The pair tragically died in a car accident earlier this summer, with Liverpool and their supporters paying tribute to them in their pre-season fixtures ever since.
Now it seems Chelsea are also prepared to do their bit, with the Athletic reporting that the Blues are set to donate “an equal portion of club’s $15.5m Club World Cup bonus fund” towards helping the player’s family.
This is expected to amount to $500k per player, with Chelsea truly making a heart-warming gesture here during what will be a hugely painful time for all of those close to Jota and his brother.
