Chelsea are interested in signing the Barcelona defensive midfielder Marc Casado during the summer transfer window.
According to Fichajes, they would be willing to pay close to €50 million (£43m) in order to get the deal done. Barcelona are going through financial difficulties, and the departure of the 21-year-old midfielder would help massively. It will allow them to register all of their players, and it will be interesting to see if they are willing to sanction the departure of the Spanish midfielder.

Casado is highly rated across Europe, and he is a phenomenal young talent. He will help Chelsea improve at both ends of the pitch. The 21-year-old is excellent when it comes to protecting the defensive unit and breaking up opposition attacking moves. His arrival will help Chelsea tighten up defensively, and it will also allow the creative players to operate with more freedom.
The 21-year-old has been labelled as a “machine” by his teammates in the past. It remains to be seen whether Barcelona are ready to sanction his departure. He is a talented young player with a big future, and the Spanish club could regret the decision to let him move on.
