Bayern Munich are reportedly not in the race to sign Liverpool winger Federico Chiesa this summer, according to Christian Falk.
Writing in his exclusive column for the Daily Briefing, Falk played down rumours about Bayern being in the mix to sign Chiesa, who is focused on staying at Anfield.
The Italy international has struggled to play regularly and make much of an impact in his first year at Liverpool, but it seems he won’t necessarily be leaving just yet.
CaughtOffside understands Chiesa has been attracting interest from Serie A clubs and could also be involved as part of a deal for Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak.

Discussing the Chiesa rumours, Falk said: “NOT TRUE: Liverpool’s Federico Chiesa is once again a topic of discussion at FC Bayern. The 27-year-old Italian forward is contracted to Liverpool until the summer of 2028.
“It should be stated clearly for the record that Bayern never held a serious interest in bringing the former Juventus star to Säbener Straße. Either way, Chiesa has made it clear to the club that he wants to stay at Anfield.”
Bayern have already signed Luis Diaz from LFC in this transfer window, but it doesn’t look like we can expect another deal between these clubs.

Chiesa recently scored a late goal for Liverpool in the win over Bournemouth, showing that he could still have some value as a squad player for Arne Slot.
The 27-year-old clearly has his qualities, but it remains to be seen how often he can realistically get into the team ahead of the likes of Cody Gakpo and Florian Wirtz.
