Liverpool are still active in the market to make more signings this summer.
Arne Slot has made massive changes to the squad with several players arriving at the club and some key names leaving Anfield.
While the likes of Hugo Ekitike, Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez have arrived, Darwin Nunez, Luis Diaz, Jarell Quansah, Caoimhin Kelleher and others have departed.
The Merseyside club’s dream transfer target remains Alexander Isak, who has made it clear that he wants to leave Newcastle United this summer but Eddie Howe and the club hierarchy are doing everything they can to keep the Swedish striker at the club.
Liverpool remain interested in Real Madrid’s Rodrygo
In case they fail to sign Isak this summer, they may target a move for Real Madrid’s versatile attacker Rodrygo.
According to information provided by IndyKaila News to Football Insider, Rodrygo is already in touch with his compatriot Alisson, who has been playing for Liverpool since 2018.
The Real Madrid star has asked for information about what it is like to play for the Reds and other general information about how it feels like living in Liverpool.
Rodrygo, who faces an uncertain future at Santiago Bernabeu, has been linked with a move to Premier League. Manchester City, Arsenal, Tottenham as well as Liverpool have shown interest in signing the attacker.
With new Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso favouring other players over Rodrygo, the Brazilian might soon make a decision on his future.
There are encouraging signs about Rodrygo’s potential move to Anfield but as per the report, it all depends on what happens with Liverpool’s pursuit of Isak.
