Barcelona midfielder Fermin Lopez has been linked with a move to Chelsea in recent weeks.
There have been rumours that Chelsea have submitted an offer for the player, and it will be interesting to see if they can get the deal done. Manchester United have been keeping tabs on Lopez as well.
Lopez transfer stance revealed
Now, a report from Spanish publication Marca claims that the 22-year-old is seriously considering a move to the Premier League club. There is no doubt that the midfielder would prefer to stay at Barcelona, which is his boyhood club, but he is not ruling out a potential move to Chelsea this summer.
Barcelona are going through financial difficulties, and it would not be a surprise if they decided to sanction his departure for the right price. The report from the Spanish publication claims that Lopez is attracted to the idea of playing for Chelsea, who have recently won the FIFA Club World Cup.
He believes that they are a great club and he would be able to fight for major trophies with them in the coming seasons. It remains to be seen how the situation develops.
