New: Manchester United midfielder open to leaving as three PL clubs show interest

Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo is open to leaving the club before the end of the summer transfer window, CaughtOffside understands.

The 20-year-old has long been regarded as a big talent coming through at Man Utd, but he’s fallen down the pecking order since Ruben Amorim took over as manager.

Sources with links to the agents industry have now informed CaughtOffside that there is the clear sense that Mainoo may need to leave Old Trafford to play regularly.

Chelsea and Tottenham are long-term admirers of Mainoo, while Leeds United are also emerging as new suitors to sign the England international on loan.

There seems to be a growing possibility for Mainoo to leave United before the end of the summer, though nothing is advanced with any club at the time of writing.

Still, one source stated that Mainoo could “formally request a transfer” in the coming days, whilst multiple sources were able to confirm that the player’s contract talks with the Red Devils had stalled.

It is not yet clear if Chelsea or Spurs will step up their interest in Mainoo as both clubs now seem to be focusing on other targets, but they could be teams to watch if it’s clear the youngster is available.
