Liverpool have reportedly given Kostas Tsimikas permission to undergo a medical with Roma ahead of a season-long loan transfer.
The Greece international has fallen out of favour in Arne Slot’s squad this season, failing to even make the bench for the first three games of the campaign.
According to the Athletic, Tsimikas is now expected to have a medical ahead of a straight loan move to Roma, with no permanent purchase option included in the deal.
Liverpool supposedly preferred to sell Tsimikas, according to the report, but for now they’ll have to hope this loan move can put the 29-year-old in the shop window ahead of next summer.

Liverpool continuing to make changes to their squad
LFC have had a busy summer, with Slot’s team now looking quite different to the one that won the Premier League title last season.
Big names such as Trent Alexander-Arnold, Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez and Caoimhin Kelleher have all left Anfield, and new signings such as Hugo Ekitike, Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, and Milos Kerkez have all joined.
Tsimikas now looks set to be the latest to leave, even if only temporarily, as it perhaps seems unlikely he’d have had many opportunities ahead of Kerkez and Andrew Robertson.
