Here’s what Newcastle duo had to say about Alexander Isak after “what’s gone on”

Alexander Isak secured a British transfer record move to Liverpool during this summer transfer window.

The 25-year-old left Newcastle in acrimonious circumstances, and he was criticised heavily for his unprofessional attitude. He decided to skip pre-season with Newcastle and refused to play for them again, unless they sanctioned his departure to the Premier League champions. 

Anthony Gordon and Sven Botman’s message for Isak

Naturally, Newcastle fans were furious with the player, but it seems that his teammates still hold him in high regard. Anthony Gordon and Sven Botman shared posts on social media after the player secured a move to Liverpool. 

Both players wished the Swedish international good luck in the future and heaped praise on him for his contributions while at Newcastle. 

Gordon said: “Regardless of the situation, and what’s gone on it’s been a pleasure to play with you. One of the best chemistries I’ve had on the pitch and more importantly, a great person and teammate. I wish you nothing but the best brother.”

Botman added: “What started off as teammates growed into one of my rare best friendships. No more words needed brother. All the best in your next chapter.”
