Hugo Ekitike reacts to the arrival of Alexander Isak at Liverpool

Liverpool signed Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt during the summer transfer window, and the French International has now opened up on the arrival of Alexander Isak. 

The 23-year-old has started well in English football, and he has three goals to his name. However, he will face competition from Izaak in the coming months. Liverpool signed the former Newcastle striker on deadline day, and it will be interesting to see if they are willing to start both players in the coming weeks.

Ekitike will not want to sit on the bench at Liverpool, and it remains to be seen how the situation develops.

Hugo Ekitike reacts to Isak’s arrival

Ekitike said (h/t Sky Sports): “When you play for the best teams, you inevitably expect to be competing with the best players,” Ekitike said when asked about competing with his new teammate.

“Isak is a player I used to watch, so seeing him arrive is a pleasure.

“It’s going to be tough competition, but I’m going to work hard to be good and perform well so that it’s just the coach’s problem.”
