Jorthy Mokio transfer eyed by Liverpool, Arsenal & Chelsea

Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea are reportedly all monitoring the progress of exciting young Ajax star Jorthy Mokio.

The 17-year-old, who can play as a centre-back or defensive midfielder, is widely regarded as one of the most exciting talents of his generation.

Ajax have a proud history of bringing elite talents through their academy, and it looks like Mokio is the latest to come through and attract interest from top clubs.

According to TEAMtalk, there is already strong interest from the Premier League as the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, Man Utd and Chelsea have been scouting him.

The likes of Manchester City and Tottenham are also mentioned in the report.

It remains to be seen if clubs will move for Mokio soon, but it seems only a matter of time before the Belgian wonderkid gets himself a big move.

It will be interesting to see which of the clubs mentioned end up trying the hardest for Mokio, but it’s certainly easy to imagine him being the kind of profile Chelsea would target.

The Blues have made it their core policy to recruit the world’s best young players under this current ownership, including a raid for Jorrel Hato from Ajax this summer.

Arsenal have also done a fair amount of business with Ajax down the years, with Jurrien Timber a recent example, so they might also invest for the future with a move for Mokio.

Liverpool would also surely be seen as a tempting destination for the teenager, as he’d get to play a part in this exciting Arne Slot project and compete for major trophies.

United would be more of a gamble, but perhaps Mokio could be tempted to try his luck with a move to Old Trafford as it might afford him less competition for places, so a chance to play more regularly.
