Manchester United paid a substantial amount of money for Benjamin Sesko during the summer transfer window, and they will be hoping to get the best out of him.

The 22-year-old striker was outstanding in the Bundesliga for RB Leipzig, and he’s regarded as one of the finest young talents in Europe and football. There is no doubt that he has the quality to develop into a future star.

Can Benjamin Sesko succeed at Man United?

Manchester United have struggled to score goals in recent seasons, and they needed a promising young striker like him. However, the Slovenian International is still getting to grips with English football. He has not been able to find the back of the net yet. Sesko’s performances have not been exemplary either.

Slovenian pundit Tine Zupan reckons the striker should have joined Newcastle United instead. The Magpies were interested in securing his signature as well. However, he opted to join Manchester United instead.

Zupan feels that the 22-year-old could have done well in Eddie Howe’s system. It will be interesting to see if the striker can prove him wrong in the coming months. His talent is beyond doubt, and it remains to be seen whether Manchester United can bring out the best in the player.

“Neither Manchester United nor Arsenal have the ideal game for Benjamin Šeško. Arsenal is because they are dominant and Šeško needs space for his game. At United, for the first time this season, we are seeing the beginnings of Amorim’s game, which is significantly more possession-oriented than last season.”
