Liverpool target Milos Kerkez is keen on a move to Anfield

Liverpool are currently leading the race to sign Bournemouth’s highly-rated left-back Milos Kerkez, according to Fabrizio Romano on the GiveMeSport’s Market Madness podcast.

The Merseyside club are reportedly in advanced discussions as they look to strengthen their full-back options ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

Arne Slot is expected to oversee a tactical evolution at Anfield, with the recruitment team prioritising dynamic full-backs who can contribute both defensively and offensively.

Alongside their interest in Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong, a natural fit for a right-sided role, Liverpool are also focused on Kerkez to add depth and competition on the left flank.

Liverpool have a good relationship with Kerkez’s agent

Kerkez, who is represented by the same agent as Juventus winger Federico Chiesa, has caught the eye of scouts with his high-energy displays and tactical maturity despite his young age.

The former AZ Alkmaar talent joined Bournemouth last summer and has quickly adapted to Premier League football, becoming a regular under Andoni Iraola.

Romano has claimed that the Reds have a very good relationship with his agent and a move to Anfield this summer is highly likely.

Speaking on Market Madness podcast, Romano revealed:

“Liverpool are leading the race, in very positive contact with the agent of the player, who is the same agent who represents Federico Chiesa.

“So very good relationship with Liverpool, the player would be very keen on the move. So the conversation is positive also in this case.

“It’s not in the final stages yet, it’s not done yet. So we have to be more patient, compared to Jeremie Frimpong, which has been a very fast deal.”
