Rayan Cherki has been linked with the move away from Lyon at the end of the season, and multiple clubs are keen on securing his signature.

According to Pete O’Rourke from Football Insider, Manchester United are expected to show interest in signing the French attacker this summer. They need more quality and depth in the final third, and he could prove to be an excellent acquisition.

“He’s available for a good fee, around £19million,” he told Football Insider.

“If Liverpool weren’t to land Florian Wirtz, maybe Rayan Cherki could come up as a potential target.

“There will be interest from Man United, Tottenham and Aston Villa who all like him, and there’ll be interest from other top leagues as well.”

Man United struggled to deal with him this season

He has shown his quality against Manchester United in the UEFA Europa League earlier this season, and he managed to score twice against them. Apart from his goalscoring, he caused all sorts of problems for the Manchester United defenders with his flair, technique and vision.

There is no doubt that he would be a quality acquisition in the long term. He is valued at £19 million, and he could prove to be a major bargain at that price. Manchester United have looked toothless in the attack at times, and they need more support in the final third. The French attacker could share the creative and goalscoring burden with Bruno Fernandes.
