Chelsea are interested in signing the Aston Villa midfielder Morgan Rogers during the summer transfer window.
According to a report from Fichajes, talks for the 22-year-old will begin around a figure of €90 million. Chelsea are interested in securing his signature, but they are looking to reduce the asking price. The report claims that Chelsea could look to include players as part of the deal. It remains to be seen whether Aston Villa are prepared to sanction his departure.
Morgan Rogers is an elite talent
He is one of the best young players in the Premier League, and he was outstanding for the West Midlands club last season. Rogers scored 14 goals in all competitions and picked up 15 assists along the way. He has been likened to the former England and Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney for his style and physicality.
There is no doubt that he has the technical attributes to develop into a top-class player, and he could be an asset for Chelsea. They need more creativity in the final third, and the 22-year-old will help them open up opposition defences with his creativity, link-up play, passing and goal-scoring ability.
