Manchester United and Brentford have reportedly finally reached an agreement over the transfer of Cameroon international winger Bryan Mbeumo.
The Red Devils have long been pursuing Mbeumo, but this saga has really dragged on and taken some time to reach its conclusion.
It now seems we’re nearly there, however, with the Athletic’s David Ornstein reporting today that Man Utd and Brentford have reached an agreement at long last.
See the X post below for details as Ornstein says United will pay an initial £65m guaranteed to the Bees, with the potential for the fee to reach £71m in add-ons and bonuses…

Bryan Mbeumo transfer being finalised
United fans will be delighted that the Mbeumo deal is now really close to going through, with this looking like a much-needed signing for Ruben Amorim.
It’s clear MUFC have issues in attack after a dire campaign last term in which they finished 15th in the table and lost to Tottenham in the Europa League final.
Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Antony all went out on loan, and will surely need replacing as they look likely to be sold permanently this summer.
Mbeumo could be an ideal replacement, giving United more of a goal threat from out wide after an impressive season in 2024/25 in which he scored 20 goals and contributed seven assists in 38 league games.
