West Ham United are reportedly in talks over the potential £25m transfer of Cagliari striker Roberto Piccoli.

The talented 24-year-old is starting to show himself to be a top performer in Serie A, having previously been sent out on loan multiple times while he was at Atalanta.

Piccoli now seems to have found his feet at Cagliari and it could lead to him quickly making a move away from the club.

Reports in Italy claim West Ham now look to be leading the race for Piccoli’s signature, though Benfica also have an interest in the Italian forward.

Piccoli had previously risen up through Atalanta’s academy, but he didn’t feature much for their senior team, going out on loan six times in total.
