Manchester United are interested in signing the Valencia midfielder Javi Guerra this summer.
However, they have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of the 22-year-old Spanish central midfielder. Valencia are now close to securing an agreement with the player over a new contract. They have agreed to triple his wages, and the new deal will keep him at the club until 2029, as per MARCA.
Man United need someone like Guerra
It will be interesting to see if Manchester United decide to come forward with a proposal to get the deal done. They need to sign a quality central midfielder, and the 22-year-old could have been the ideal acquisition. He will add control, composure, and technical ability in the middle of the park.
Guerra is highly rated in Spanish football, and he is a promising young talent with a bright future. He has all the attributes to develop into a future star, and he could have been a player for Manchester United. It remains to be seen how the situation develops. Manchester United certainly have more financial resources compared to Valencia. They could offer him a better contract and the opportunity to compete at a high level in the Premier League.
