Manchester United have shown ambition in the summer transfer window by signing players like Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko.
The Red Devils have been linked with a move for Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba now but their transfer business moving forward will be highly dependent on sales considering how much they have spent already this summer and that without the financial gains of Champions League football next season.
Ruben Amorim’s team finished 15th in the league last season and failed to win the Europa League final against Tottenham.
It was obvious that they needed big additions this summer, particularly in the attacking positions.
Rasmus Hojlund has no future at Man United
They have managed to address those issues but they are still looking to offload a large number of their players. The likes of Rasmus Hojlund, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Alejandro Garnacho are not a part of Amorim’s future plans any more and United are looking for buyers for them.
The arrival of Sesko at the club has made life difficult for Hojlund at Old Trafford and now there is an acceptance at the club that the former Atalanta striker is set to be sold.
Graeme Bailey provided the latest update while in conversation with United in Focus:
“I am told by sources close to the club that the ‘inconvenient truth’ is that Rasmus Hojlund will be leaving. He is a great guy, everyone likes him, his teammates like him – but with Benjamin Sesko coming in, United need to move him on, and I am told it is highly unlikely that he will still be at Old Trafford by the end of the month.
“Juventus are ready to move on from Vlahovic, and they like Hojlund. They are keeping tabs on him, but their priority is to secure Randal Kolo Muani.
“There is interest in Germany and we are told that can’t be discounted at this point but Serie A remains the most likely destination. It is very much likely to be a loan of some manner.”
