The new Premier League season is upon us and that means we need to put together our FPL teams.
Here are three players that you should avoid when picking your teams.
Matheus Cunha – £8.0m
Cunha had an impressive season last year at Wolves as he finished with 15 goals and 7 assists.
Therefore, I do expect him and Mbeumo to improve Man United’s attack which struggled last season.
However, given how bad United were last season, I think it may take time for them to improve.
United also have some tough fixtures to start the season as they play Arsenal, City and Chelsea in the first 6 games.
So I think we can wait and see how they perform before picking them.
Joško Gvardiol – £6.0m
Gvardiol was an unbelievable FPL asset last season as he scored 5 goals and ended as the top scoring defender.
This season will be slightly different for him due to City’s new signing Aït-Nouri.
City didn’t have a traditional left back last season so Pep played Gvardiol in that position quite often.
This allowed the Croatian to pick up some very attacking positions and quite often receive goal scoring opportunities.
Aït-Nouri is now likely to play in the attacking left back position this season.

Not only that, but Gvardiol didn’t feature at all in City’s most recent friendly so there’s a chance that he won’t start their first league game making him an avoid right now.
Alexander Isak – £10.5m
Isak was the fourth highest scoring player in FPL last season behind only Salah, Mbeumo and Palmer.
He finished the season with 23 goals and 6 assists.

However, the transfer saga surrounding him makes him very difficult to pick in FPL.
We can’t be sure whether he’ll be a Liverpool player, a Newcastle player or neither by the end of the month.
He’s currently in around 20% of teams but due to the uncertainty around his future, he’s an avoid for now.
