Manchester United are up against Grimsby Town in the second round of the EFL Cup today, and they will be hoping to book their place in the next round of the competition with a win.
Grimsby Town stunned Manchester United with two quickfire goals in the first half from Charles Vernam and Tyrell Warren.
Manchester United have not been at their best in the game, but they have now managed to reduce the deficit with a goal from summer signing Bryan Mbeumo. The former Brentford star has scored the first goal for Manchester United in all competitions this season in the 75th minute, and it will be interesting to see if Manchester United can score the equaliser in the remaining minutes of the game.

Mbeumo did well to take on the Grimsby Town defence and find the bottom corner on the far post. He was outstanding for Brentford last season, and the Manchester United fan will be delighted to see him open his scoring account for his new club. They will hope that he can build on this performance and embark on a goal-scoring run now.
